Welcome home to Norråker!
Norråker is a small village with just over 100 inhabitants, beautifully situated in the upper part of Tåsjödalen. A visit here offers hope for the future of rural areas. The village has recently welcomed several new families, bringing children who have lowered the average age in the community.
Norråker’s glory days, during the power plant era in the late 1950s, may be over, but the village is not fading away like so many other villages in the inland areas of Norrland.
In the village, in addition to the country store, there are also Åke’s gas station, Lena’s pub, the restaurant Övre Tåsjödalen’s Outpost, Norråker’s camping and fishing center, Idéstugan handicraft shop, a swimming area, a playground, a baking cottage, and many associations and businesses. An active village with almost everything you might need!
